Optical Illusions

                                              Stairway between corners of a flat square.

You can go from corner A to corner B by climbing the stairs or by going around a level plane.

the light pink color and the dark brown color of the stairs make the flat look the two levels, this is caused by the cognitive illusions

This is quite interesting because it is just a simple trick to make illusions. If you look at the flat square only, you can completely sure that there is only one level there. But when the stair is added, people tend to believe there are two levels in the picture from the first sight.
